Hi,
I’m Madeline, The Naturopath.

I am a qualified naturopath with a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy), having graduated from the Australasian College of Natural Therapies in 2021. I have a special interest in managing gut health and hormone issues, such as IBS, endometriosis, PCOS, fatigue & burnout.

As a naturopath, I strongly believe in treating the whole person, with the end goal being able to provide support in all areas, including physically, mentally and emotionally. Through empowering my clients to adopt lifestyle modifications and utilise food as medicine, I hope to reconnect my clients with their bodies. I am proud to share my knowledge and wisdom with my clients to support their development towards their optimal self.

Naturopathy revolves around six principles

Through encompassing these principles, naturopathy works to introduce lifestyle and dietary modifications, and where applicable, herbal extracts and nutritional supplementation.

1.

Do no harm

Primum non nocere

Naturopathic practitioners employ techniques aimed at reducing the risk for adverse effects, using the minimum required level of force or intervention to promote the restoration of health

2.

The healing power of nature

Vis medicatrix naturae

The inherent self-organising and self-healing mechanisms within living systems that establish, maintain, and restore health. The practitioner's responsibility is to assist, enable, and enhance this process by identifying and eliminating barriers to health and recovery.

3.

Identify and treat the cause

Tolle causam

Illness doesn't manifest without a reason. To achieve full recovery, it's essential to pinpoint and eliminate the underlying causes of illness and disease. Symptoms can either signify the body's effort to protect itself, adapt, heal, and recover, or they can result from the disease itself.

4.

Doctor as teacher

Docere

One of the primary goals of a naturopathic practitioner is to instruct the client and emphasize the importance of self-responsibility for their own health.

5.

Treat the whole person

Tolle totum

Health and disease arise from a complex combination of physical, mental, emotional, genetic, environmental, social, and various other factors. Naturopathic treatments acknowledge the importance of all these aspects working in harmony for wellbeing. This requires an individualised and holistic approach to therapy.

6.

Prevention

Preventare

In naturopathy, the primary goals include preventing disease and achieving optimal health for clients. Naturopathic practitioners evaluate risk factors, heredity, and susceptibility to illness, and they implement suitable interventions to proactively prevent diseases.

Our Services

Whether you’re struggling with digestive issues, hormonal imbalances or just stressed and fatigued, The Naturopath can help!

The 60-minute initial consultation is an opportunity to delve into your presenting symptoms, going through each body system, your diet and lifestyle to gather a holistic understanding. Clients will then receive a personalised treatment plan, addressing their health goals by providing dietary and lifestyle recommendations, as well as nutritional and herbal supplementation if suitable.

The return consultations are 30-minute appointments for existing clients, assessing progress with the treatment plan and addressing any new presenting symptoms. This appointment allows for further analysis into the diet or functional testing if necessary, with clients being provided ongoing education and support to achieve their health goals.

Acute appointments are 15-minute phone consultations specifically designed for immediate support with conditions such as a cold or flu, urinary tract infections, thrush, constipation or diarrhoea. This is for those who require a short consultation to receive the best treatment and is suitable for both existing and new clients.

There is also a new client package available for those who know they’ll be back (and you save a little cash too!). This includes one initial consultation and two return consultations.
